No matter if you live in the middle of bustling Grand Rapids, have a couple of acres on Swan Lake, or have a few 40’s in Itasca County, we have something for you! We offer a variety of trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and grasses native to Minnesota.
What’s new?!?! This year, we offer trees (like swamp white oak, DED-resistant American elm) found in southern MN that can do well here in Itasca County as weather gets warmer. In addition to seed mixes, we are now supplying ready to plant, live plant mixes for special uses like shorelines and woodland edges!
Plan your spring purchases with a year of color in mind. Even in the bleak midwinter, red osier dogwood and flame willow have orange to dark red twigs to provide warm winter interest.
Habitat and food? Trees and shrubs will provide blossoms for insects, fruit for birds and squirrels, or nuts for deer and turkey. Given time, your plants will become homes and shelters. Check out our flowers and pollinator mixes to support bees and other insects.
We offer browse prevention products. Yeah- deer are a pain and like to eat the seedlings that you work so hard on (☹).
